It's thin but made of a strong material, so it doesn't get wrinkled when you put your weight on it, which is common with travel mats. The grip is the same as the PRO mat. I like that the PVC material is easy to clean. It's 2.5mm thick, so it doesn't feel like the floor, which is typical of thin mats, and I feel it's the best quality for a portable mat.
